New for this year, Trombones is an unauditioned ensemble, welcoming trombone players of all abilities to take part. The weekly rehearsals on Wednesday provide the opportunity to play with other trombone players and improve ensemble and trombone specific skills. The repertoire includes a great mix of traditional brass, classical, jazz and film music and they are always welcome to trying out pieces that students have composed themselves. At the end of the year they elect the new committee which includes a manager and conductors. They are a very friendly and approachable group of people who would love some new players. They play, laugh and enjoy some biscuits too!
